Jason Borenstein, Ph.D.
Jason Borenstein, Ph.D., is the Director of Graduate Research Ethics Programs and Associate Director of the Center for Ethics and Technology at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His appointment is divided between the School of Public Policy and the Office of Graduate Studies. He instructs graduate courses on the subject of the responsible conduct of research (RCR) and undergraduate courses such as Biotechnology and Ethics, Engineering Ethics, and Ethical Theories. His research interests include bioethics, engineering ethics, research ethics, and robot ethics.
He is also a consultant for the CITI Program, which is located at the University of Miami, serving as its Associate Director of Education for Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR).
Dr. Borenstein earned his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Miami. His dissertation, entitled Expertise and the Courts, examined philosophical issues associated with expert witness testimony.
